Patrick Garrity

For the past 15 years, Patrick has worked at the nexus of social impact and innovation, supporting diverse communities across the U.S. and Africa in overcoming barriers to prosperity by bridging sectors, cultures, and divergent interests. Patrick's equity-focused perspective and blended technical/adaptive approach stems from his roles as Senior Consultant at AchieveMission; Program Manager on the 2010 FIFA World Cup's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative; Senior Trainer at the Posse Foundation; and Independent Consultant to The World Bank, No Means No Worldwide, Ujamaa-Africa, Grassroots Soccer and various other youth-serving nonprofits and NGOs. Patrick holds an MPP from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a BA in Literature from Wesleyan University.

Angela Romans

Angela N. Romans has spent over two decades as a leader in nonprofit and public sector organizations, with a primary focus on the education ecosystem. She brings deep experience in leadership development and racial equity. Currently the founding Executive Director at Innovation for Equity, Angela has also served as the Interim Executive Director at AchieveMission, Senior Vice President of Programming at Say Yes to Education, co-Director of District & Systems Transformation at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, and Senior Advisor on Education to Mayor Angel Taveras of Providence, RI.  In her roles, Angela has provided capacity-building and coaching to organizations and senior leaders in areas of strategy, governance, diversity/equity/inclusion, collaborative action, adaptive leadership, talent management, and higher education access and success; and has managed multiple, complex systems-change projects. She is recognized for her facilitative leadership style and systems thinking. She holds an S.B. in biomedical engineering and an Ed.M. in secondary math teaching and curriculum, both from Harvard University, and is an Annie E. Casey Foundation Children and Family Fellow and an Innovation for Equity Fellow.

Mike Markovits

Mike is an internationally recognized expert in leadership development, talent management and succession. An independent leadership consultant, Mike is the Founder of Markovits Consulting Services, LLC. Mike was a Partner at AchieveMission from 2012-2020, a non-profit consulting firm, leading consulting and coaching engagements, working directly with senior nonprofit and foundation executives to build the leadership and organizational capabilities to scale social impact. Before joining AchieveMission, Mike led global leadership development, talent management and succession planning at IBM.  In that role, Mike led organization design and development, talent assessments, annual succession planning, diversity, executive staffing, and leadership development. He led a global team of over 200 people. Prior to his role at IBM, Mike held a series of increasingly senior roles through a 20-year career as an HR professional at General Electric, including leading the design and global delivery of GE’s widely emulated leadership and executive development curriculum.

Dax-Devlon Ross

Dax-Devlon Ross is the founder of Dax-Dev and and Principal at Third Settlements. Dax has led a career as an educator, non-profit executive, equity consultant and journalist with a focus on social justice. After receiving his Juris Doctorate from George Washington University, he joined New York City Teaching Fellows where he taught in middle and high schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan. He later helped lead the national training and replication team at the Posse Foundation, one of the country’s foremost college access organizations. During his tenure at Bank Street College of Education, he managed the school’s partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service. As the founding Executive Director of After-School All-Stars New York and New Jersey, Dax built, from scratch, a team of 60 full and part-time program, development and operations staff serving more than 1,500 students across two states.

Emely Martinez

Emely Martinez is a leader in talent development, programming, facilitation, and education, with a passion for building organizations to be diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Emely graduated with a degree in Psychology from Yale University, and began her career with Teach for America as a Kindergarten teacher in Washington, DC. Focused on equity work through education, Emely then joined the national headquarters of After-School All-Stars (ASAS), a federated non-profit. Emely quickly became the first Senior Director of Talent Development and part of the leadership team that launched six new ASAS chapters throughout the country over a three-year period. As Sr. Director of Talent Development, she established an entire Human Resources team and structure to support the growth of the organization, as ASAS grew from 13 to 300 employees. As a consultant, Emely’s main projects focus on building equity-based workshops for organizational leaders, DEI discovery processes, strategic planning, and the creation of DEI councils. Emely also holds a Masters in Education from George Mason University and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
